Special application of self-protected voltage transformers

Subbiano Arezzo, Italy, August 2018 – Back in 2012, Tesar’s research and development team in cooperation with Enel distribution engineers, studied, developed, tested and homologated the so-called SVT – self-protected voltage transformer. The transformers are now used in a special application in the Enel Group distribution networks to feed the auxiliary services for the remote control.

Custom-made disconnector for Statnett, Norway

Plzeň, Czech Republic, June 2018 – A custom-made design for vertical disconnectors has been created for Statnett, an important system operator in the Norwegian energy system. The company operates about 11'000 km of high-voltage power lines and has about 150 stations all over Norway. To modernize the current substations, a new and very special design of disconnectors was required.

The tests were performed by the renowned testing organization KEMA and ended with the awarding of the Gold KEMA certificate of short-circuit performance. This makes ZREW one of the most trusted transformer manufacturers in the world.

Record-breaking order for TAURON Dystrybucja

Łódź, Poland, July 2018 – ZREW will supply 54 power transformers for TAURON Dystrybucja, one of the biggest distribution network operators in Poland. The company distributes energy to about 5,5 million people and covers 25% of the whole electricity grid in Poland. It is the largest individual order in the history of ZREW.

New assembly method for disconnectors

Plzeň, Czech Republic, June 2018 – The German energy company E.ON Avacon has awarded SERW with a new project. The companies share a long-time partnership and have realized more than 44 projects together. On 28 February 2018, E.ON Avacon contacted SERW with the demand for a new assembly method for disconnectors at their substation in Leherheide, Germany.

Power transformers for the most modern gas and steam block in Poland

Łódź, Poland, June 2018 – The year 2018 brings new challenges and engagements in large projects in the Polish energy sector. One of them is the participation in the creation of the most modern gas and steam block in Poland, which will be built at the Żerań Heat and Power Plant in Warsaw. The block will provide heat supply for Warsaw and increase electricity production in the Heat and Power Plant by approx. 80 percent.
