The Louvre in Abu Dhabi

Designed as a seemingly floating dome having a honeycomb structure and a dense network of corridors and channels which draw the water of the Persic Gulf it is meant to represent "rays of sunlight passing through date palm fronds in an oasis". In the inside you can find great masterpieces such as "La Belle Ferronière" by Leonardo da Vinci or a self-portrait of Vincent van Gogh.
