Conference about modern and advanced technologies in power transformers

Łódź, Poland, October 2018 – The 12th edition of the Science and Technology Conference for Power and Special Purpose Transformers took place from 3 to 5 October 2018 in the small and charming town Kazimierz Dolny in Poland. The main organizer, ZREW Transformatory, is proud to have set up the successful event full of interesting discussions and presentations.

As part of the Conference, papers of leading scientific centres, enterprises representing the professional power engineering sector, scientific and research institutions, and businesses cooperating with the power engineering sector were presented.

  • The main topic of this year's edition was "Advanced Technology and Operation" but the subject matter of the Conference also covered others topics related to power and special purpose transformers, in particular:
    • problems related to operation
    • diagnostics, trial runs and tests
    • advanced computational methods and design
    • renovations and upgrades
    • current development trends

  • The conference is a great place to meet specialists from the transformer industry and scientific staff from the biggest Polish technology universities. “This year’s conference was very fruitful. We had about 200 participants that exchanged their knowledge about important topics such as current development trends”, says Małgorzata Siedlarek, member of the conference organization committee.
