Transformers for Yas Bay Arena in Abu Dhabi
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, June 2019 – For the currently still under construction standing project «Yas Bay Arena» in Abu Dhabi, Tesar Gulf will deliver 8 cast resin transformers. The arena is designed to host sports, corporate, and cultural events and promises a low-energy consumption approach.
The beautifully designed roof truss will help cut energy consumption through a self-shading facade that will support natural light and insulate against heat. Tesar’s cast resin transformers will also contribute to the low energy-consumption approach of the project. The Ecodesign transformers have small losses in the magnetic core and windings and therefore reduce energy consumption.
Some specifications about the project:
• A total of 8 cast resin transformers
• Different ratings (from 1500kVA to 2500kVA)
• Seats 18.000 people
• Retail, food and beverage opportunities at the promenade next to the arena
• Expected to be completed in November 2019
«We already delivered our state-of-the-art transformers to the Yas Marina Formula 1 Circuit. It is a great honour for us to again support a land-mark project on Yas Island.», Riccardo Pericoli, General Manager of Tesar Gulf, stated.
Tesar is part of the Swiss-based R&S Group, a leading provider in selected niches for power products.
