110 kV Disconnectors for Substation Přeštice in Czech Republic

Plzeň, Czech Republic, October 2020 – R&S SERW has received a new project for the transmission substation in Přeštice, a Czech city in the south of Pilsen. It will be a direct delivery of 26 pieces 110 kV disconnectors to the end-user ČEZ Distribuce a.s.

Some specifications of the project:

  • 8 pcs 110 kV, 2000 A, 40 kA/1s horizontal disconnectors
  • 18 pcs 110 kV, 2000 A, 40 kA/1s pantograph disconnectors
  • Ordered in September 2020
  • Scheduled delivery in April 2021
  • Substation Přeštice, Czech Republic
  • Coordination with a local installation company on site

R&S SERW will follow a standard production process in the case of the 110 kV horizontal disconnectors. For the pantograph disconnectors, however, higher requirements in capacity and planning are needed. The reason for this is that pantograph disconnectors are not manufactured or used so often in a 110 kV distribution system.

The success of this project is of great importance for the expected new long-term tender which will be issued in 2021 by ČEZ Distribuce a.s.
