110 kV Disconnectors for Substation Sokolnice in the Czech Republic
Plzeň, Czech Republic, October 2020 – In October 2020, R&S SERW received a new order from Czech electricity supplier E.ON Distribuce. A total of 42 high voltage disconnectors will be designed, manufactured and delivered to the substation Sokolnice in the Czech Republic.
The substation Sokolnice is one of the biggest and most important substations in South Moravia where all voltage levels (420 kV/245 kV/123 kV) are used. The South Moravian region is located in the south-eastern part of the country. Its capital is Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic.
Some specifications of the project:
- 1 pcs 110 kV, 2000 A, 40 kA/1s horizontal disconnectors
- 30 pcs 110 kV, 2000 A, 40 kA/1s pantograph disconnectors
- 11 pcs 110 kV, 3150 A, 40 kA/1s pantograph disconnectors
- Delivery in February 2021
- Direct delivery to end-user E.ON Distribuce
Due to the recent developments regarding COVID-19, higher requirements in capacity planning, production coordination and shipping will be needed. Also, a careful coordination with the local installation company and strict safety measures need to be respected.
