The construction of the building started in 1975 but then stopped permanently in 1979, leaving a giant unfinished frame made of concrete and steel.<\/p>\n<p>The nickname Szkieletor was given to the skeleton-like building ruin by the character Skeletor from the comic series Masters of the Universe, popular in the 1980s.<\/p>\n<p>Construction company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strabag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">STRABAG<\/a> will now finally bring the unfinished tower in the middle of Krakow&#8217;s city centre to life. The finished building will contain apartments, a hotel and offices, with a gallery or caf\u00e9 at the top. With a height of 102.5 m, the new Unity Tower will also be the highest tower in the city. <a href=\"\/tesar\">Tesar Polska<\/a> supported the project by delivering custom-made <a href=\"\/products\/transformers\/dry-type-transformers\">transformers<\/a> with extremely reduced height according to the customers&#8216; needs.<\/p>\n<p>Some specifications of the project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A total of 8 cast resin transformers delivered<\/li>\n<li>Power ratings of 1600 kVA, 1000 kVA, 800 kVA<\/li>\n<li>Voltages of 15,75\/0,42 kV<\/li>\n<li>Custom-made design with extremely reduced height<\/li>\n<li>Entire project is scheduled for completion by mid 2021<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #5587c8;\">About STRABAG SE<br \/>\n<\/span>STRABAG SE is a listed Austrian company with headquarters in Vienna.
