Huge greenhouses and fresh vegetables all year round

Łódź, Poland, February 2021 – ZREW has delivered a transformer for one of the largest Polish companies producing greenhouse vegetables – The Corporation of Horticultural Production “Siechnice”, part of the Citronex Group.

There are almost 50 hectares of greenhouses in Siechnice, where a favourable climate for the cultivation of healthy and tasty tomatoes all year round has been created. To make this possible, vegetables are illuminated by 100 W lamps per square meter of greenhouse.

Electricity is charged from a nearby power plant. The transformer, which is manufactured by ZREW, is located there.

• Transformer specification: 63 MVA (115/21 kV)
• Place of delivery: The Corporation of Horticultural Production “Siechnice”
• Scope of work: production, transport on site and assembly of the transformer.
• Date of delivery: end of 2020

In the greenhouses, are used only natural means of cultivation, and the inflorescences are pollinated by bumblebees.
