MV circuit breakers and disconnectors for Hungarian Railways
Plzeň, Czech Republic, April 2020 – With its network of over 7,500 km, of which 3,000 km is electrified, Hungarian Railways is a key driver for the local people and the economy. To rehabilitate the railway lines, reliable and durable switches are needed.
From Budapest, as the main railway hub, a network of over 7,500 km radiates through the country with various connections to larger towns. R&S SERW designed 1-phase and 2-phase circuit breakers and disconnectors for the Hungarian State Railways, short MÁV, and will deliver them together with its partner, GLOB, in Q3 2020.
Some specifications of the project:
- 5 pieces MV 1-phase circuit breakers
- 11 pieces MV 2-phase circuit breakers
- 17 pieces MV 1-phase disconnectors
- Delivery in Q3 2020
Since the delivery time is very short, it is necessary to manufacture the most important parts in advance to be able to meet the required delivery time. This requires mutual trust in the partnership of the supplier and the customer.
