[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\u0141\u00f3d\u017a, Poland, November 2019 \u2013<\/span>\u00a0Based on a contract signed this year, the Polish manufacturer ZREW will deliver a power transformer<\/a> to Dundee, in Scotland. Once installed, the transformer will guarantee reliable operation in an EFW (energy from waste) heat and power plant. Scotland is a new market to which ZREW<\/a> will supply its products.<\/p>\n

The recipient will be the German energy concern MVV Environment Baldovie Ltd, a subsidiary of MVV Energie AG<\/a>. MVV is one of Germany\u2018s leading energy companies. Their activities focus on providing a reliable, economical and environmentally friendly supply of energy to industrial, commercial and household customers.<\/p>\n

Details of the order:
\n\u2022 Transformer specification: 13 MVA (33\/11 kV)
\n\u2022 Place of delivery: EFW CHP plant in Baldovie (north-eastern district of Dundee)
\n\u2022 Scope of work: production, transport on site and assembly of the transformer.
\n\u2022 Date of delivery: January 2020<\/p>\n

MVV entered into a contract with Dundee City and Angus Councils in November 2017. The aim was to manage their residual waste (waste that is left over after recyclable materials have been removed). It is a long-term contract under which MVV will take over and operate the existing energy from waste facility in Baldovie while building a new, modern facility next door.<\/p>\n

The new facility will use around 110,000 tonnes of residual waste per year to generate electricity. It will also aim to fulfil the requirements of the Scottish Government\u2019s hierarchical Zero Waste priorities on reduce, reuse, recycling, recovery, and disposal. Currently, construction is ongoing and the finished EFW CHP facility will be commissioned in 2020.<\/p>\n
