Wind Farm Transformers for Poland
Łódź, Poland, June 2019 – Investments in wind energy are increasing in Poland. As a result, ZREW Transformatory, leading Polish producer of oil power transformers, received new orders. ZREW has already produced several dozen units for the specific needs of wind farms and therefore has great know-how in this area.
To meet the requirements set by the EU, the Polish government decided to increase the source of wind energy. Currently, wind farms with a capacity of around 6 GW are working in Poland, but the desired potential is 12 GW.
According to the Ministry of Energy, in 2020, all renewable energy sources in Poland should produce about 35 TWh of electricity, which is 19.23% of the total energy generated. ZREW will contribute to this aim by offering the most efficient oil power transformers for wind farms.
ZREW Transformatory is part of the Swiss-based R&S Group, a leading provider in selected niches for power products. ZREW is a leading Polish manufacturer of oil-immersed transformers with power ratings up to 125 MVA. The portfolio includes transformers for power stations, heat and power plants, wind farms, distribution networks as well as special and furnace transformers.
