Connectors for Chinese high-speed trains

Sissach, Switzerland, November 2018 – For the past 10 years, Rauscher & Stoecklin supplied its vibration-proof high current connectors to high-speed trains all over China. With more than 10.000 units sold to the Chinese railway business and a long-time partnership with CARS, the most important research institute in the Chinese railway industry, Rauscher & Stoecklin retains its strong position in the Chinese market.

In the railway business, heavy vibrations are very common and can cause trouble to electrical equipment. To combat this disadvantage, Rauscher & Stoecklin developed a new solution. The “vibration-proof connector” ensures 100% safety at all times and withstands the most challenging environmental conditions. The connectors are installed in the power converter and supply the train with energy for the daily maintenance work in the depot station.

The long-time cooperation with CARS includes:
• More than 1.000 units per year
• Suitable for high-speed trains with 350 km/h
• In the future also suitable for trains with 250 km/h
• Installations all over China

Rauscher & Stoecklin is one of the main connector suppliers in the railway business. Big companies such as Siemens and Hitachi and many local manufacturers are using our Swiss-Made products.
