Abu Dhabi, UAE – Tesar, part of R&S Group, has delivered 102 cast resin transformers for Stargate UAE, an AI data centre development by Khazna Data Centers. This was Tesar’s first order under a framework agreement directly with the developer.
Stargate UAE is planned to reach 1 GW of capacity across five phases. Tesar supplied transformers for 100 MW of the initial 200 MW phase, representing half of that phase’s capacity.
The transformers were specified to withstand K-9 harmonic loading. Their enclosures were produced in five colours to help identify the five electrical strings across the installation.

Tesar delivered the full transformer package within eight months. The project adds to its experience supplying cast resin transformers for data centre infrastructure, including projects with specific electrical and site requirements.
