Traction Transformer for DC voltage lines in Switzerland

Sissach, Switzerland, November 2019 – For the customer TPF, Transports Publics Fribourgeois, Rauscher & Stoecklin produced a special 2.000 kVA transformer for traction application. Together with its partners, the company delivered and installed the transformer in Châtel-St-Denis, Switzerland.

A custom-made transformer with 2.000 kVA was installed at the customer’s site in September 2019. Because of the great appreciation of the quality and service received, the customer decided to order 8 additional transformers to use on their railway lines.

• 1 delivered traction transformer with 2.000 kVA
• Special 12-pulse rectifier transformer for railway or subway electrification
• 8 additional transformers planned
• Equipped with an oil retention vat
• Equipped with an expansion tank
• Produced to reach a long lifespan
• Low energy losses
