Dirk Soete to Lead the R&S Group to be a Leading Provider of Electrical Infrastructure Products in Key Markets

Sissach, Switzerland, January 2020 – Dirk Soete (54) has taken the position of CEO of the R&S Group on January 1st, 2020. He superseded Mike Lauper (60) who will remain in the company as a consultant.

Dirk Soete has broad international experience, having lived and worked in multiple countries and locations such as Germany, USA, Philippines and China. He brings to the group a vast experience – both operational and managerial – in the electrical industry especially in the transformers business. Having started as an electrical designer in 1992, Dirk Soete then moved over via sales and business development to P&L responsibility for complete global transformer operations.

As new Group CEO, Dirk Soete will take the responsibility to lead the Group to its vision of being a leading provider of electrical infrastructure products in key markets around the world. He will also further bring together the subsidiary companies to exploit valuable group synergies.
