ebs Energie AG retrofits temporary construction power distribution cabinets
Sissach, Switzerland, November 2020 – In July 2019, ebs Energie AG began evaluating a new solution for the connectors for their temporary construction power distribution cabinets. R&S Rauscher & Stoecklin was able to deliver connectors that are mechanically stable and robust. This increases the service life and reduces the maintenance effort.
The power distribution cabinets are used for temporary network connections of construction sites, everywhere where there is no network connection yet, e.g. new buildings. ebs Energie AG retrofits all its existing power distribution cabinets because the current connectors often break when changing construction sites or after continuous use.
In Q2/Q3 2020, the first seven construction distribution cabinets as well as the feeder cables were retrofitted with the industrial connectors from R&S Rauscher & Stoecklin. In 2021 and 2022, further retrofittings will follow.
Some specifications of the project:
- 7x MCP-S5/200/400V-6h panel mounting connectors
- 7x FC-S5/200/400V-6h socket outlets
- C-Line with robust plastic housing
- Delivered in Q2/Q3 2020
- Further connectors and socket outlets in 2021 and 2022
“Temporary building and industrial connections, thanks to R&S industrial connector technology, electrically and mechanically stable, flexible and powerful on track”, states Rochus Klein, Head of Projects at ebs Energie AG.
