Industrial Connectors for 5G Telecommunication Project in Saudi Arabia
Sissach, Switzerland, February 2020 – A 5G network expansion is planned in the first quarter of 2020 in Saudi Arabia. Since the project requires a lot of energy, industrial electrical connectors are needed. R&S is satisfied to be the supplier for this interesting project.
At the beginning of this year, R&S Rauscher & Stoecklin received an order to deliver multiple industrial plugs and sockets to a 5G telecommunication project in Saudi Arabia. 5G is the fifth generation of wireless technology for digital cellular networks. The networks offer faster speeds and more reliable connections on any digital devices than ever experienced before.
Together with its partner, MENNEKES, R&S will deliver the robust and safe connectors in March this year. One of the main reasons R&S was awarded the project was the various certificates for the connectors, which were completely renewed in 2019.
Some specifications of the project:
- A total of 63 industrial connectors
- 400 A and 400 V
- To be used for the expansion of a 5G network
- Installation in March 2020
