Investments into galvanization shop

Plzeň, Czech Republic, August 2019 – The Czech switching device manufacturer, SERW, decided to renew its galvanization shop in order to offer its customers qualitatively higher products as well as to introduce more efficient processes. The company invested over 0.5 million Czech korunas to refurbish the coating baths with a newly installed cooling system.

SERW decided to invest in its galvanization shop and installed a new cooling system for the coating baths. As a consequence, the average temperature of the baths was reduced which resulted in less electricity and chemicals needed. The quality of the plating has significantly improved, providing the customers qualitatively higher switching devices. Payback of the investment is one year.

The main advantages for the switches going through the galvanization process are the rust and corrosion protection, a long-life expectancy, reliable performance, and lower maintenance.
