Progress into French railway-industry
Sissach, Switzerland, December 2021 – R&S Rauscher & Stoecklin is developing its commitment to the French railway industry. In 2021, the Swiss company made its first installation for SNCF Réseau – the main operator of the French national rail network – and successfully attended the SIFER trade show.
The order from SNCF Réseau is a part of the electrification of the railway line from Gretz to Nogent. R&S Rauscher & Stoecklin supplied SNCF Réseau with two bipolar switch disconnectors, type FHV-B3-25/S with type MFL250 electric control at 48 Vdc to be tested them on SNCF Réseau’s rail network. The devices were installed in April 2021 in La Sucrerie substation, and commissioned – few months later in the presence of engineers from SNCF’s TE department, R&S Rauscher & Stoecklin and local partner OCS2.
The installation will be monitored in service for over a year. If no significant anomaly is observed SNCF RESEAU will issue a technical approval of the product at the end of this test period.
This was not the only cooperation between R&S Rauscher & Stoecklin and OCS2 in recent months.
Both companies participated at SIFER on 26-28 October, 2021 in Lille, France. SIFER is France’s premier rail industry event, bringing together suppliers and manufacturers of the very latest in railway technology, products, and services.
R&S Rauscher & Stoecklin exhibited a load break switch (LBS), type FHV-B3-25/S for powering catenaries with an interactive demonstration of its operation. The demo attracted great interest from experts from companies associated with railway electrification works.
