The Louvre in Abu Dhabi

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 2018 – After years of construction the Louvre in Abu Dhabi was inaugurated in November 2017. In order to keep your visit as pleasant as possible and the antique work of art well-tempered in perfect atmospheric humidity so it will remain for the next generations, uninterrupted power supply is crucial.

Designed as a seemingly floating dome having a honeycomb structure and a dense network of corridors and channels which draw the water of the Persic Gulf it is meant to represent “rays of sunlight passing through date palm fronds in an oasis”. In the inside you can find great masterpieces such as “La Belle Ferronière” by Leonardo da Vinci or a self-portrait of Vincent van Gogh.

To meet the specific requirements of the project, Tesar provided a custom-made solution with high-quality standards.

  • 10 installed cast resin transformers in total
  • Design adapted to customers needs
  • Uninterrupted power supply 24/7
  • In compliance with strict climatic conditions

With our transformers installed in further landmark projects in the Middle East, Tesar cast resin transformers are known for highest reliability in areas with extreme climatic conditions.
