Tesar in Milan Skyline – The new directional skyscraper of Porta Nuova

Subbiano Arezzo, Italy, April 2019 – Tesar Srl has awarded the contract for the supply of 10 Cast Resin Transformers of different ratings from 1000 to 1600 kVA, which will energize a new Skyline located in Milan, Gioia Tower 22, in the new area so called Porta Nuova, just nearby to the the two towers «Giardino Verticale».

The building, with 26 floors above 120 meters and 4 underground floors with a total gross surface area of 68,432 m2, stands out for its unpublished standards of technological innovation and environmental sustainability. GIOIA 22 will obtain the LEED certification, adopt a Cradle to Cradle approach in the choice of materials, limit energy consumption thanks to the introduction of the most effective sustainable building best practices and will be equipped with green mobility systems.

The project has been awarded with regards of High Technical Content and Reliability of Tesar products. The place is ready for green parks, cycle paths and charge station for the e-mobility. Nevertheless, thanks to the choice of the highly reliable materials and the use of 6.000 photovoltaic panels which allow a cost save in energy requirements of 75%.
